Fresno Ag Hardware’s Clovis grand opening an event 146 years in the making

The anticipated grand opening of Fresno Ag Hardwares Clovis location  the first expansion to another city in the retailers 146-year history  is scheduled for Thursday with a spin on the traditional ribbon cutting. Located at the corner of Herndon and Clovis avenues, the new 10,000-square-foot location will stock the same products as the Fresno location.

Eureka! burger restaurant to open new location in Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. — You will soon have a new place to grab a burger in Clovis. Eureka! will open next Monday at the southeast corner of Herndon and Clovis. The restaurant chain has already hired 75 employees for this location. While they’re not looking to hire right now, the manager is still accepting applications.

Barbershop moving outside to continue operating during the pandemic

In an effort to stay in business, a barbershop in Clovis is preparing to move outside. The order from the governor’s office blocks hair salons from doing business inside. In response, The Great American Barbershop in Clovis is scrambling to put together a hair-cutting station in its parking lot. “I think that’s the hardest thing, you didn’t know how long it’s going to last,” said salon owner Tye Featherstone.

The event will kick off at 7 a.m. and feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, store tours, free food and special deals. The Bee first reported plans to open the grocery store in a former Save Mart at the Trading Post Shopping Center at Clovis and Herndon avenues in May. Felled Trees at Clovis Shopping Center Will Be Replaced

Today, the transition of the center at Clovis and Herndon avenues is obvious, but so far, it’s not being looked upon favorably. Most of the old trees — about 90% by one city official’s estimate — have been chopped down. But new trees will blossom at the 119,000-square-foot center that was once home to a Save Mart supermarket and CVS.

Sprouts Farmers Market to open in Clovis

Clovis is getting a Sprouts Farmers Market. The grocery is coming next year to the Trading Post Shopping Center at Clovis and Herndon avenues, along with a Ross Dress for Less and Skechers stores and Pieology Pizzeria. Sprouts will take over 30,000 square feet of the Save Mart store that closed in 2007, said Chris Shane, Gryphon Capital managing partner. The new tenants, and future ones still in the works, are part of efforts by the center’s new owner to revamp the corner and fill up empty spaces. The sale of the center to a partnership between Gryphon Capital and Rich Development was finalized in April.
